The only type of intereaction between the two of you is relatively unrelated conversation (s/he is not mentioning or revealing any verbal clues to you). How can you decode/ intepret love (very deep love that is wrapped up in intense admiration) off of someone's face ? What would be the symbol of such strong emotion?

The answers you are getting are only for more shallow love. If someone shows those tell-tale signs, then get to know him better and then it can get alittle more profound.

Love is an emotional choice
it's not possible to tell how someone is feeling just by looking at them,
example - some of us cry when we're happy
Just remember the old saying,
"You can't judge a book by it's cover".
All that said, usually we're attracted to people that are attracted to us.
If you find yourself interested in this person, chances are there's a mutual interest.
So, take a chance and get to know the person.
If you consider it all a learning experience,
then you have nothing to lose by trying.

The eyes! they are the mirror of the soul, study them. Notice for example when someone is lying to you when you see their shifting eyes. Sooner or later there will one look that could give you the answer; but be care full not to confuse it with lust, it could be just physical attraction. A deep feeling goes together with the fact that he or she is always available when you need it, and cares about you and you can feel this. Open all your senses.

if your asking "can you tell someone is in love with you by looking at them" I would have to sat that you must look at their body language towards you. take a look at what kind of conversations ya'll have and the amount of conversations ya'll have. does he want to talk to you alot? If your in a crowd does he single you out and mostly face his senses to you? If he does some of these things he may like you but love you, only he can tell you that. yes you can. its some sort of gift you have that alot of people dont have. other people have diffrent gifts. when you sensed that someone was deeply fallen in love with you it was trying to tell you that this guy really wanted to tell you but was not ready or was giving you hints that he was telling you that he loves you. the strong emotion is that maybe telepathic.

they keep looking at you with those big eyes ... they keep talking to you, and seem reluctant to end the conversation
For teens, you can add blushing and unusual akwardness when around you.
