I've always shopped at places like Kohl's. Recently though, I'm making the size switch between kids and juniors. But I really don't like many of the junior styles because they can be very immodest....Does anyone have any ideas about where I can get trendy and cool, yet modest clothes that don't damage or maim my parents' wallets or retirement plans? :-) Thanks for any help that you can give!!

I'm LDS, and have some difficulty finding modest clothes that don't look like they came out of my grandma's closet. Some ideas:

You can find long camis and tank tops at places like Target that you can wear under shirts that might be a little short. It looks great, and you see that more often now in stores and magazines.

One thing that my EFY counseler did was take an old strechy tank top and cut off the top portion with the straps, wore it under a shirt , and pulled it down so it showed under the shirt she was wearing. It gives the same effect as wearing a tank top under a shirt

Another thing that you see more often now is wearing leggings under skirts that are shorter

Before you shoot me for saying this, don't count out consignment shops. A lot otf them have brand-name clothing that they have bought that were left over from sales at stores like Abercrombie, American Eagle, and Aeropastle

For shirts or dresses that have no sleeves or have spaghetti straps, you can still wear them, but with a cropped sweater or shrug.

There are many websites like http://www.drezzing.com that sells modest clothes. For prom dresses and formal wear, look on sites like http://modestbydesign.com and http://www.ldsbride.com which have cute dresses, but are not too expensive either.

Hope this helped!

old navy has cute clothes and compared to a lot of other clothes they are pretty cheap. also aeroposatle is great for what your looking for, very cheap, but trendy. modest clothes you can find in a lot of places you just have to look around. even places like hollister can have clothing that covers your body and doesn't look immodest.

good luck!!! :)

Hey! Brooke Here
do I have an answer for you!

Abercrombie & Fitch is good but Hollister has the same stuff for less money, but be carful cuz some stuff can b rip offs. Intuition is also great, and Limited Too and Delias. American Eagle is great stuff for adults and teens for not alot of money and Aeropostale ( I luv those monkeys) PacSun is also good I luv their tanks and Old Navy and gap will sometimes work too.

Hope I helped!

american eagle and aeropastle.

it also depends on how you wear it, i mean you can get a strapless shirt and then put it over a tanktop or another shirt.
you can wear the most non-modest shirt and make it super conservative.

play around with it, layers are always working.

Dehlia's
American Eagle
department stores

I like American Eagle the best but it is kind of pricy so you could wait for their sales or look at their clearence section.
