I need a horse name! It's a paint QH gelding. His old name was Cracker Jack, (CJ for short) but I don't like it. It dosen't need to have any certain words, but I'd like it to have a stable and show name. Thanks for your help!

Many horse folks believe it's bad luck to change a horse's name, just for the record. It's tough to give him a name having never seen him, although I do know of a really sweet QH mare whose name is Crackers (her dam's name was Biscuit, her sister's name is Cookie), and she's adorable.

I have been around horses my whole life so I know a little bit about naming all of them lol. Go by his personality. Gentle names or wild and crazy names seem to please the judges more lol. go by what color he is and what he likes and so forth. mostly his personality. if the horse is at a certain age it might be too late to change his name. anyhoo i hope that you find a name for your horse. one of my favorites was my palamino named blondy and my appaloosa named pinky(dont ask lol he earned that name when he was a colt and ran through some paint and got it everywhere lol)

I have a female tennessee walking horse.Her old name is butterscotch but I am trying to think of a new one as well.I am thinking about calling her Layla.How about these names
