Is it a better option to learn Ruby & Ruby On Rail to get a job quickly than learning C#? As it seems that C# has a much higher learning curve. Thanks for your answers.

I want to add that I don't want to be a software developer using C# or Ruby. My goal is to use C# with asp.net to build websites , same thing with Ruby (RoR)

Ruby on Rails is a great platform for web development but you will almost certainly not find a job for it. Monster.com is practically bursting with c# positions, whereas I've never even seen Ruby mentioned on any job requirements posting.

As for hobbyist programming, Ruby is great for rapid-deployment applications, but c# is better if you want more control over how much of the deeper core aspects of application development.

I know ruby, but I know nothing about ruby on rails. But I can say ruby was awesome and quite easy to learn. If RoR is like ruby then id go with RoR! except i know nothing of c# so i gets i am biased lol

Do you know any other languages? Have you studied or worked in the field. I doubt you are going to get a job if you just go read a Teach Yourself Ruby/C# in 30 days book.
