OK... now you need a real answer.

No matter where the pellets go, as long as the fish can get to them only feed him 3-4 pellets once or twice a day. Extra will only foul his bowl. If he leaves any after about 5 minutes, take those out.

When you clean the bowl, don't wash it. Just rinse it out really well and wipe the slimy film off the front and leave the rest. Make sure the new water is the same temperature as the old water and don't forget to use dechlorinator.

If you are careful with the food you can change water every other day and he will be fine. Just add a little water if it gets low on the day you don't change water. Again, make sure it's the same temperature.

The way he goes to the bottom after changing water is becaue of no dechlorinator or the temperature being off a little bit. The red spot is probably from you giving him too much food and the water getting dirty.

Be careful about these things and he will do really well.

Hope this helps!

Whatever junk your currently feeding your betta, throw it out. Get some floating pellets from Hikari and feed him 1 pellet at a time till he has eaten 3-5 pellets. Without rotting food on the bottom youwon't have to change the water as often. In a vase of less than 1 gallon you will still need ot change the water every other day. If he keeps acting weird, try adding some Melafix to the water, he may have a bacterial infection.

Okay, here is my advice. Take him outta the vase. He'll be much happier, and try not to put so much food in the tank. Betta won't stop eating put 10 pellet in the morning and like 5 at night. I know "only feed once a day". Think isn't true for all fish. You'll need a stress reducer if u don't have it already.

You need to treat the water with dechlor, it could be having a reaction to chlorine in the water.

If you've over fed it, it could have eaten too much and now has stomach problems. A single Betta doesn't eat but a few small flakes. It can eat them no matter where in the bowl they fall.

(if the food has time to sink you've fed too much)

(if the fish swims away and there's still food floating, you've fed too much)

The only reason a bowl will get dirty in just a few days is because of over feeding.

The water should be changed once every few days.

You should place a bubble stone in the bowl for increased oxygen levels.

Your water may be too hard from the tap, and may need further treatment to soften it up. Distilled water lacks certain minerals, so use natural Spring water as an alternative to tap water if you don't want to treat the water.

despite the fact that junk your at the instant feeding your betta, throw it out. Get some floating pellets from Hikari and feed him a million pellet at a time till ultimately he has eaten 3-5 pellets. without rotting nutrition on the backside youwon't ought to alter the water as often. In a vase of under a million gallon you will nonetheless choose ot replace the water the different day. If he keeps performing strange, try including some Melafix to the water, he would have a bacterial an infection.

when you change the water make sure the water is the exact same temp as the old water or your fish could go into shock. don/t feed him more than what's reccomended on the food package either..
he might just be sick. there are medicine tablets you can put in his bowl, just go to the pet store and tell someone what its symtoms are and they'll get the right thing for you
good luck

maybe he has some kind of virus. like a bacteria or something. fish can get things like that. if his water hasnt been dechlorinated then he should have the ph and things fixed. and if he has eaten too much he'll feel really bad. only feed him what he can eat within 5 minutes. he's only little so he wont need alot. you can look it all up in aquariums for dummies i think is what its called.

Well if you had it more than 2 years its dying of old age........................but if you got it 2-21/2 months ago it should probably because of hte change in water every day which is sometimes unhealthy to the fish

quit cleaning on a daily basis, he can not adjust to all the temp changes your pulling on him. if his bowl is getting that dirty in 1 day, you are over feeding him, or his bowl is way to small.
