I consider that being a BIG HATER! A 3-peat is AWESOME in any sport. I don't care how many times someone wins, if you're a true fan/person of the sport you'll appreciate something that is great. All I have to say is, Bill Russell & Tweety are MJ haters. Because that's just point blank being a hater!

Bill Russell is not much. Why get so upset over such an idiot?

He actually said it in a joking manner, one day when he was playing in a golf tournament...at least, that's the clip I saw...Russell may have been asked about the Bulls on several occasions.

But since he won 8 in a row and 11 in his 13 year career, his statement was totally appropriate.

It's not like Charles Barkley said "Not Much"... this is Bill Russell we're talking about here.

And obviously, whenever MIchael is asked who's the best player ever and says "I think it's me", he's obviously "hating" on everyone who EVER played the game. Can't Michael at least acknowledge that other guys besides himself could play the game as well? Apparently not.

When the Bulls three-peated, I didn't hear Michael going around saying "yeah, this is pretty good, but Bill Russell won EIGHT in a row"... couldn't Michael find it within himself to acknowledge the accomplishments of Russell? Guess not..

And it is true...Jordan is always going around complaining about the quality of play in the NBA today. Not exactly the best attitude for an owner to take, btw.

Bill Russell is the greatest winner in the history of American team sport. He has a right to talk.

I have to agree with Bill. After the demise of the great teams of the 80's, there were no other great teams. When Boston was young & healthy they destroyed the EAST. When they got old & Larry legends back went out Detroit torch the east. When they got old Chicago was the only great team left. The Lakers were finished. When the Celtics & Pistons were healthy, the front lines were BEASTS. Chicago could never compete with the soft big men they had. They were no match.

that would be like asking mj about shaq and kobe's 3 peat or hakeems back to back titles or the pistons title in 04'... if u got more, its cool to be respectful (which mj would be)but u dont have to be in awe. u also have to take into acct that bill russell has probably been asked that question so many times along w/ 'how would u have stopped michael jordan if ur celtics played him?' that could get annoying.

Russell won alot of champoinships, maybe thats why he doesn't think much of it. But

I think Russell hates the game period, always something bad to say about players since his time.

That is horrible... The Bulls of the 90's were some of the most dominating teams ever in the NBA history!!! If Bill Russell can't respect or acknowledge that, then no one should be asking his opinion anyway
