.... for a week. She asked him the day before if their 16 yr old daughter could borrow his car as she had invited a few friends and couldn't fit everyone into the 2 cars that were already going. He said 'No'. She has phoned him again and asked if he can pick the kids up on Sunday as she was able to get everyone up there but now cannot bring everyone back.
He has said that he will 'think about it'.
I'd like YOUR comments please!!!

This is low-grade manipulation. He should ignore any further requests such as this. She has three options:

1) Rent a vehicle to get everyone home.

2) Get one of the other participants to produce transportation.

3) Make two or more trips until she finishes what she started.

Your job, which I hope you've already figured out, is to STAY OUT OF IT entirely!

Good luck!

I didn't quite understand who was who in this picture. Let me see if I understood right.

The female took the males kids on a trip and now she has no room to bring the kids back. This is bad planning. However, it is the parents responsability to take care of the kids. So, if it is his kid he must show up and pick them up. Then again the person at that point is the legal guardian. The problem here is who is the legal guardian of the kid. The legal guardian is responsible. So if the female has no legal bounding to the kids she can call the cops and force the guy to come pick his kids up. Especialy if they are under age. Other wise is abandonment.

If is her kid's then she is SOL. She should planed better. It is very irresponsible to put kids through that situation. Rent a cab or rent another vehicle to transport everybody. Or have the driver from one of the other cars to do 2 trips.

If its share custody then I don't know what the legal ramifications are.

She seems like a total flake. But, the kids should be the main concern. I'd reconsider letting the kids go on anymore long trips with her in the future.

she sounds a little unresponsilbe to me.. if you can get eveyone there, then it is your respobsibilty to get them back.. your bf has nothing to do with his ex trip so he should not become involved in it!

Your only choice is see what he does, or you go pick them up.
