Now the show is on again and I think everyone should watch it. It is such an AMAZING story. Those families are so caring. If you watch it and tell me what you think I'll give you the points.

Although I am not an Oprah fan per say, I did watch the show today on "Fascinating Families." All I can say is wow. First of all, in terms of . It is amazing to see Holly Robinson and Rodney Peete, a couple who shows that is such a thing called love and a stable marriage in Hollywood, where getting married is nothing more but an fashionable accessory or trend in the eyes of some celebrities. Then the issue of adoption caught my attention. It was fascinating to see that Lisa's once reluctant friends, were now adopting as well. The couple who brought six kids into their home after the strong reservations. What a complete 180. It is always nice to stories about family unity in a society where the family is no longer emphasized. There are so many types of families single parent, dual income household, traditional, same-sex, mixed (interracial, re-marriages where there are children from a severed marriage), common law and so forth. It is nice to see the adoptive families getting some more recognition. We see celebrity adoptive families highly publicized such as Angelina Jolie and her family, we hear about Victoria Rowell (Dru of Young & The Restless) and her adoption of children but it is rare to see typical ordinary families who decide to extend that olive branch. It is quite inspiring and refreshing. This segment shows that altruism is not completely dead in our society.

I didn't watch Oprah today but I think she is wonderful lady. She has all that money and she chooses to do good things with it and help people. How can you not respect a person like that?? Thumbs down to the first two comments.
