Of course lizards have babies ... but I don't think that's the 'question' you are asking. What you want to know is 'How do lizards have babies?' Do they 'raise them as human mothers raise human babies, or what else do they do?
Lizards lay eggs, and most lizards don't even 'visit' the eggs once they've been laid. The 'babies' are born with the 'instinct' to know how and where to get food, water, and where to 'live' in relative safety. It's 'lots easier' for a lizard to 'be a parent' since all they have to do is 'lay' the eggs and they're done with it. But they don't get the 'warm satisfaction and love' that a human parent gets from having and raising a child ... or from adoption of an 'otherwise unwanted child' ... and that, to me, makes me very glad to be a HUMAN and a mother.

Most lizards lay eggs which hatch into baby lizards. There are some lizards which are viviparous, meaning they give birth to live young (baby lizards).

The most famous is probably the viviparous lizard of Europe (Zootoca vivipara), but there are others as well.

Although they give birth to live young, parental care of the baby lizards is almost completely unknown.

Most species of lizards (like most of the reptiles in general) are oviviperous. Meaning that they lay eggs.
