As for the monitor, it would just be if you like the looks and size, etc. of it. Your "video card" would be the determination of how well movies, games, etc. play. As long as you have a good video card then you should be good to go.

It has a TN panel,
so it's good for game and bad for movie.
Note that the type of panel determines more than 95% of your LCD monitor.

it's decent. we sell those at my work. they're not great, but they'll get the job done. if you want a good one, viewsonic has some good ones, but you're better off looking around first, before buying the Norcent.
