But what about the girls? Why don't any highschools have a girl's football team? They have a girl's swim, golf, basketball, baseball, and soccer team, but no football team. I know of many girls, including myself, who would love to have and play on a girl's football team.

Most schools don't have the budget for a girls football team.
And football has traditionally been considered a male sport. Most girls don't seem to be interested in playing football.
Best you can do is find a girl's football team in your town (unlikely) or try Rugby or Soccer. Good luck with your quest.

It is like any sport within a school system, it is always based on budget and interest. Schools have to make choices based on the number of students interested and the budget that they have. First off you need enough girls to get together and make a commitment to the team. If you achieve this then due to title IX the school would have to offer both a girls and boys team. Unfortunately the problem arises with the lack of competition and interest in other schools. Because you're probably not going to find this you would be absorbed into the boys football team.
This happens in a lot of other sports. Where I live there is only girls field hockey but every other year or so there ends up being a couple of guys on the girls team because they want to play field hockey and Title IX requires them to get the opportunity.
That said, there is growing interest in girls football and that interest will continue to grow, don't be discouraged.

the problem is if there are enough girls to form a legit football team in your school. If "many" = at least 11 players then you could take it to your A.D. and request that a girls football team be formed, but you might have a tough time finding competition, cuz there aren't many girls football teams, but you could find games against clubs that have girls football teams. Plus the school may not think it's the best idea to invest money by paying approx. 5 coaches for an extremely small team that may not even get a game every week.

1. Not ALL high schools have a boys football team. Most do though.
2. They don't make a girls team for several reasons:
a) there wouldn't be enough girls. you might think there will be, but there wont.
b) Equipment. It's hella expensive and schools probably wont be able to afford for Boys Varsity/JV/Freshmen teams as well as Girls Varsity/JV/Freshmen.
c) Field conditions. A lot of schools have 2 or 3 teams.. Varsity, JV, and Freshmen. Field conditions would be horrible and not up to standards if there was a game every day all week, which is what would happen.
Another option i might add would just go for the team the school has. Most high school don't fully cut, and you automatically make varsity as a senior. Go out there and prove yourself against your starters.. and you'll get a spot... I've been starting varsity since my freshman year because of that, i beat the starters.

Look, you find me 22 girls that want to play football and I'll watch it for the love of the game. Fact is, a lot of girls just don't want to play it to begin with, I know they brought it up at my high school but they only had like 12 girls that wanted to play, so it's not possible. It would be wonderful if they would want to, women already play hockey in the Olympics, but they don't hit each other, which would be a problem I would have if they did no-contact football...then I wouldn't watch it. It's a sad truth, but a truth none the less. I believe there was a female kicker at like Colorado University (Might be wrong on the school), it might just be a matter of time before more women get involved. If they do create a womens football (with contact) I'd watch it.

girls can play football, but on the one football team that the school has. Its sexual discrimination not to allow girls on the football team. When I was in school we had a girl kicker on our team for a year or two.

ummmm, how many girls can you get together to play football? you need AT LEAST 11.... and then those 11 would have to play both offense AND defense AND special teams (very unrealistic)....

I feel that this is discrimination. You need to get a group of girls to go with you and complain to the athletic department.
