“A human being is part of a whole, called by us the 'Universe', a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings, as something separated from the rest- a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circles of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.” ~Albert Einstein

I believe so, to a certain extent.
*I believe that we make our lives what we want it to be, but that certain themes tend to resonate throughout our chosen paths.
**Marriage
**Children (or lack thereof)
**Quirky things. These things can best be observed through the relatives and the children within a family group:
***Looks
***Attitudes
***Skills (intellectual/athletic/social) and lack thereof.
I honestly believe that God has a good plan in mind for all of us, but that we each have a variety of paths we choose to get there.
These paths sometimes intertwine, but we would all go in the general direction God wants for us if we just accept His guidance.
*We are certainly free to go our own way.
*We may abandon God at anytime, and take our chances with the world, but God never abandons us.
**Prayer is a request for God to open our eyes: it leads either to a realization of our wishes or an indictment of our lives up to that point; it is up to us what to do next.
As a driven, college-educated, goal-oriented martial artist, and former military officer, I find that my drive and my arrogance makes it very difficult for me to turn over control of the problems in my life to God; that is, to let Him show me why these issues cropped up in the first place, and, ultimately His design to deal with these issues.
*In a nutshell: I just gotta learn to chill.

Absolutely! We are all connected; so connected that there is only ONE of us! And we are truly grand; so grand that nothing else exists, or CAN exist, that is separate from us.

Yes, i think that God has a purpose for all of us. All we have to do is except Him, and open our eyes. Leave the ordinary to become extraordinary through class....
