well it depends on a few things.. like how long you were in the relationship, i mean if you were with this person for a long time and all of a sudden its over, it could take months before you stop crying over it, but if it was love you will always have a place in your heart for that person and u may even cry about it in years to come, but it will get better soon... good luck.

It all depends it is always going to effect you like say if a new guy comes into your life and does or says something that reminds you of a ex it might take you back a little but as soon as you find someone you care about more you realize that you can be happier then you where before and that it's not always that bad to move on. just give it a little but don't except everything to go back to "the way it use to be" that never happens like people wish it would.

Well... it depends on the type of person you are, and how fast you can get over something! If it was serious then it might take some time to forget about what the 2 of you used to have. But if it was just a "fling", then it should take no time to get it in your head, that you could move on with NO problems!

Each person is different. The heart takes it own time to heal. But I would say feel the pain - cry if you feel like crying etc. But you should put a time span on how sad you will feel about it - Then go out and meet some new people. Go hang with friends.

you will never be your old self again, it changes you, but you will feel ok soon. one day at a time. guys do go through the same thing usually, it's an addiction thing. you are use to being with someone, except the person that does the dumping, the have had time to plan their escape and are use to the idea quicker. if they do it out of spite, it sometimes comes full circle on them when your begging is done. they get a jolt of energy from doing the dumping that goes away and it hits them.

There is no general rule, it depends on the personality, quality of the relation, intensity of feelings ... The most important issue is to give yourself time and not rush into something new until you are completely recovered, no matter how long it takes.

That all depends on the person, how long the relationship was and how serious it was too. It can take a long time or a short time, it depends on waht one does to get over it.

Time will tell. You need to understand that it may take longer for others and for some not very long at all. Take this time to reflect about yourself and how things will be now or in the future.

It depends, the old adage is 1 month for every year you were together. My bet is you will realize very soon that your life is calm and peaceful without this other person. You will be glad they are gone and ready to enjoy life. Take time to get to know yourself again.

... usually, about a year. A lot depends on how long the relationship lasted, how close you two got, and how much contact you two still have. If you two still see each other everyday, well, that will make it nearly impossible - it'll serve as a constant reminder.
