I don't know what company made my card, so i would have some trouble finding any drivers.

Sounds like the card is defaulted to basic VGA settings. So the drivers for the card are either missing or glitched.

Go to Device Manager, RIght click and choose UPDATE Drivers

IF that doesn't help go to the card's manufacturer's website (that's what I'd do anyway) and get the latest drivers for your card.

You somehow must find the drivers for your graphics card as this is the only way to get a higher resolution than you are currently getting.

1. Do you have the restore disk that came with the computer? That will contain the graphics driver. You can access the drivers by right clicking on the restore disk icon and choosing explore.. Find the graphic driver and install it.

2. Look in the control panel under system >hardware> device manager> and click the + in front of display adapter. That should tell you your graphics card. Then go to the Internet and download the drivers.

3, Open the comptuter case and look at the graphics card and see who made it. Then go to the Internet and download the drivers.

Good Luck.

If you have reformated, some of the stuff that should be there probably is not any more. You may have to reload your program or go to an earlier version, in order for it to work. That happens with the upgrades from Microsoft some times.
