I live in the Chicago area, but anywhere in the U.S. will do due to the fact that I am traveling a great deal this summer.

Consider that last year they forecast a busier than average hurricane season with four of them hitting the US. Reality was a less active season and no hurricanes made landfall in the US.

It's all a crap-shoot...the Old Farmer's Almanac is as accurate a source for seasonal predictions as the National Weather Service.

I live in Texas and the evening weather report says the National Weather Service is forecasting a hotter and dryer than normal summer. However, we just had 3 inches of rain and cooler weather the last 2 days!

'Logical predictions' is a self-cancelling phrase. It is difficult enough to accurately forecast weather conditions in the next 48 hours. No one can forecast weather months in the future any more accurately than they can predict it decades in the future.
