All breakups are strange. Broken people behave strangely and say strange things. What you'll do when you start to get over this is remember the red flags you missed along the way, and you can maybe start thinking about what kind of character traits you and a mate would need to build a lasting relationship, work on self-improvement to attract that lasting mate eventually, and move on along the way.

I had a woman who left me to go out with my best friend tell me she wanted to marry me and have my children. People say a lot of things. If he is gone, I would work on the assumption that he will stay gone. You are better off to stop thinking about him and to stop interacting with him.

He's probably just stringing you along - keeping his options open and scouting around to see what is out there.

guys say "sometime in the future" all the time, its their way of letting you down easy and filling you with false hope. and looks aren't everything, there's also personality, and who you are in the inside. and yes there could be another woman.
