i really don't care for them and they don't bother me, but most of the time they are true regardless if that individual likes it or not.

I tend to agree that about 99% of them are true... I think people just get mad because they don't like to be labeled...even if it is true =]

Most people who get mad a stereotypes are either fighting the stereotype or the stereotype is wrong. One ideal example is perhaps the Goth subculture. some of the stereotypes about the goths is A) they worship the devil. B) drink blood. C) are melencholy and Pessimistic all the time. D) sacrifice animals.
Now I will admit that there are people in the goth subculture who do fit those stereotypes but not the majority. Most suprisingly enough are christen, do not drink blood and love animals.
Like i said just an example. another one is that all Muslims are bad and are suicide bomers. .... only the extreamist.
Stereotypeing is bad becouse we are all individuals and to try to fit anyone into a spacific mold it why we fight it.
those that believe that stereotypes are true are not looking at the indivudual but at the race..gender...religion.......
that is called prejudic.

well, what if someone said, " all white men have little willy!" , is this true? Well, something it is true, but not all the time.
Stereotype can led into discrimination with put all people of that race or gender in the same cat logy; Although it may not apply to all people in that race or gender. I had seen white men with a big******.
