Flame test may be the most straightforward, unless you are colour blind.

Apple green flame with Ba(OH)2 and red flame with Ca(OH)2

The only way I know is to analyze by ICP or Atomic Absorption and look for Ba and/or Ca.

solubility. barium hydroxide is much more soluble in water.
