Are you that kid? If so are you Happy? If there are other things the kid wants to do but can't because of all the activities then yes they are too busy. If the kid is unhappy with the busy schedule then yes they are too busy. But if not then no they are a well rounded individual on a fast track to a good college.

Well that's 10 activities in total - I would say as a teacher that all of those are great activities, and the child will no-doubt be gaining a wealth of experience, but that the child is at risk of 'burning out'. He/she is likely to be tired from all this and his/her school work could be at risk as a result. If it was my child, I would consider taking a couple away, perhaps ice skating, karate and violin just once a week each, for example.

Way too much he or she should stick to like 3-4 activities and then do that on planned out schedule.
I do a lot of activities too: 2-3 times karate
twice dance
once music
once swimming
and in fall an summer tennis but not music

I think so; I think that's way, way too much -- and they can't do anything well. Who takes *two* lessons (lessions?) on the violin a week, anyway?

I think this depends upon the child, their age and what they want to do.
If the child is happy to continue doing these activities then the child should be allowed to. If the child decides that they have had enough of one or more activity and they want to quit then it can be reassessed.
If a child is doing all of this, I suspect they are being homeschooled or are a prodigy

Way too much for a kid to do. I would honestly limit to two extra curricular activities. Its good to get them involved in stuff but dont overload them either.

no its good to be busy, better than playing video games. he may get is little *** kicked when he gets older by the kids that get in trouble, but in the end he'll come out on top

If they can cope with it then fine. It does sound like a lot, but kids are amazingly resiliant!!
If an adult was doing this....agh!!!
