My friend earns twice as much as me, His wife earns 3 times as much as me, My wife doesn't work at all. We both have same sized houses and cars, He has no debt, I have £20k's worth, So you'd think the one to be skint is me? But no anytime I ask him do u want to go for a pint the response is "Oh I'm skint" Or do you want to go shopping "Oh i'm skint" and whats more If I do eventually get him prized out of the house I have to pay.
I find it impossible he is always skint. I'm on min wage, I have no savings at all, and I wouldn't say i'm skint, sure hard up but not skint

It doesn't matter what he earns, if he's skint he's skint who are you to say otherwise. Some people are just not good with money and you just make him feel guilty about going out with you when you prize him out of his house knowing that you have to pay and then slag him off afterwards.
Be grateful that he isn't trying to borrow from you all the time or find yourself a friend who isn't skint.

Yeah, thats a tough one alright. I have a friend the same. We are both in college. She has a part time job, I dont. whenever I ask her to go shopping she says no but its because she spends all her money on drink. Just buy yourself the drink in future, its tough but he will have to learn. He is spending his money elsewhere!

Well who is the clever one he is the one getting free drinks etc. while they are saving for holidays or nice things, your extra money is going on him down the pub. You could go twice if you were not paying for his round of drinks, go on your own and meet someone else there to chat to.

He is a loser, get rid of him. He is obviously lying, and thinks that if he repeats it enough to you that he is protecting himself from you asking for a loan. So basically he doesnt trust you, and is more than willing to avail himself of your generosity.
