my husband is getting weird phone calls from an unknown caller...we had a custody battle and the caller talks about him having his kids and what not...we thought we knew who it was till recently..the person has been in jail for over a month so we know its not him, any suggestions on how to bust this person..its starting to get strange

Yes. Contact your local police department and file a report. They will give you a number to call for your phone company to set up a trace, and a case number for the phone company. Then write down EVERY TIME the calls come in. I think you have to do this for something like two weeks. You MUST be willing to file charges once they find out who is making the calls. Also, just because the person you suspect has been in jail does not mean he isn't having somebody else make the private calls to your home.

Well I know it's impossible to do it yourself; I found that out a long time ago through friends. You may want to either try calling the phone company, or even call the police for harassing phone calls (which this is considered to be one) AND when a private call comes through, to hang up; but start documentating times and dates of the calls. The police then can start an investigation with the phone company; and the calls would be forced to be traced.

Yes there is. Call your phone company and ask how. You have to type the proper code after the call and this will mark the call for the phone company to access later. In order to get them to access it, you have to file a police complaint. The police will request the # from the phone company and deal with the caller.

Caller ID or some phone services offer "*69". When pressed it shows who the last caller/# was..

The phone company will trace it if you feel threatened or harassed by Mr. UNKNOWN... Try reverse number directory

well if its a cell phone....you can if you call ur phone prvider and tell them a strange number has been calling you and they will have to give you the number then......cause they need to provide safty for there customers.
