i am currently doing a project on printmaking at college and wondered if there are any proffesional printmakers out there who would be able to answer a few questions for me and provided some pictures of their work so i am able to create a casestudy, anyone? thanks!

There are probably dozens of ways to make prints. I'd suggest you ask again and be more specific..

like the person before me, you need to be more specific. There is Linoleum (this is one of the easiest), wood, copper, and other metal sheets.

I would suggest linoleum if you haven't done a print yourself yet. mind you, you will need to buy ink, the linoleum (NOT what you tile floors with), and the cutting tools.

when you make a picture, EVERYTHING is backwards. you apply the paint to the actual carved peice of whatever, and then you press it onto paper. sorry that I don't have any pics of my work to show you. photobucket isn't loading :( but just do a google search under "lithography" or "Linoleum Prints".
