I wouldn't be too sure about us being the most intelligent of all species. Seems to me like we abandoned a lot of that intelligence in becoming more 'civilised' ... You could generally compare humanity to a mindless rampaging and pillaging hurd of beasts that devour everything in their path.

But all in all humanity has generally lost its mind and therefore most of it's intelligence as well.

We have given ourselves this supreem title / position. Maybe the ants are looking up at us now saying " thank goodness we are the most intelligent creatures on earth, I'd hate to be one of those dumb humans ".

well, revenge comes from a feeling of being slighted, or hurt. the time before Islam was known as the jehlihah period. the word jehlihah, according to the arab scholars means irrational thinking or behaviour. a jehlih arab would take any measure neccerssary to overcome his feeling of slightness. now, the word for peace in the arabic language, salaam, and the same root in hebrew, shalom, come from the name salimah, who, in that time meant to be whole. from this we can gather that the nature of peace is being whole, similarly, we feel ill when one part of our bodies are acting out of accordance or balance with the rest of the body. taking this idea further is one superpower on this Earth a threat to world peace? yes, there is total lack of balance! the Prophet Muhammad said, 'never requit a wrong with a wrong' and that 'God loves those who do good', which is the same message that is given in the Bible, 'Love thy enemy'. a study done in a university somewhere, on the nature of forgiveness, showed that people who don't forgive who they have been wronged by can have serious repercussions in thier mental state. and here, we come to the methodology of forgiveness. the cycle of forgiveness is complete when you do good to those who have wronged you. and so, if we do follow guidance from the books, the Torah, the Bilbe and the Koran, we will be a peaceful Earth. in answer to your initial question, we are the most intelligent species on this planet but with that comes great responsiblity, we have to care for other animals, care for the plants and sea, essentialy care for this earth that we live on. if everyone was out to get revenge, from a feeling of being slighted, there wouldn't be any people left because evryone in thier lifetime is going to be subject to bad comments, what we do with those comments and the effect that they have on us is whats important. we have been given consiences and so we should use it in lieu of the greater good.
