Tom Watt played Lofty Holloway, who worked behind the Queen Vic bar in Eastenders.
He has done many things - acting, singing (a flop), columnist for a daily paper, and a sports reporter on many tv and radio channels.
I think the prog. you are looking for is Surgical Spirit, where he made a guest appearance - although I have never seen it.
But if it as good as you make it sound, will have a look for it.

Corrie i do in comparison to Beverley Callard ,or Kim Ryder Emmerdale i could not stand Linda Lusardi and that i think of her on demonstrate screen daughter Lexi is even worse and that i've got in no way cherished Marlon and Paddy so over the precise and not slightly humorous Eastenders it particularly is stressful as they look all so plausible ,i think it might would desire to be Dot Cotton a solid actress ,yet as in no way replaced her outfits or her character each and every of the time she has been there ,you will think of June Brown would be bored enjoying her ,i'm getting bored watching her

If it was Surgical Spirit, I loved that show but seem to rememeber it being on ITV not BBC. (Don't recall the episode being referred to if it was this prog.) Duncan Preston (anaesthetist), Nichola McCauliffe (surgeon) had the leading roles but various other good actors were in it too> Very clever, funny stuff. Wonder if it's available to watch somewhere else these days?
