Because we no longer lucubrate through the trees but walk. Arms got shorter and legs got longer. If we return to the tree canopies, the reverse will slowly begin and eventually we'll have short legs and long arms.

So people can be taller. If our legs were as short as our arms then we would not be able to see danger from as far, plus we can walk quicker on longer legs.

we need long and strong legs so they can carry our bodies ..long bones means long muscles which can be used in walking.also when god creative the human kind he made them in beautiful shape by making their legs longer than arms.
