Istanbul is the only city on two continents. If you travelled from an East - West direction, you would leave Asia and enter Europe.

It depends
I think the Northern part of Istanbul is in fact on continental Europe, which would mean that the next continent would be Africa as you would cross Greece & Italy as well as a lot of the Med and then hit Tangiria
