You can touch them right after they are born. I've done so hundreds of times and have never lost a baby from touching them. The old man who taught me about rabbits raised them since about the 1920's and many times he'd touch them right after they were born and he never had trouble with touching them for somewhere around 75 years.
They'll start getting hair within about a week. And within about two weeks they'll start opening their eyes.
Actually it's a good idea to handle them and look through the nestbox. You don't want to leave any dead babies in the nestbox or otherwise the mother may stop milking them due to the stench. If the litter is too big for the mother to handle, some of them will die because they don't get enough milk. Some breeders will reduce the size of the litter down to a number they know the mother can handle.
You'll also want to keep an eye on them to make sure that they open their eyes properly. If you notice that all of the other babies have their eyes open and one of them doesn't have it's eyes open or only has one open. You will want to pull the eye open. If the eyes remain closed for too long, the baby will go blind in that eye. If the baby has a white mucus-like stuff on the eye you will want to pull the eye open then place a drop or two or regular Visine in the eye. Look on the back of the bottle. The active ingredient should be Boric Acid. I think it's about a 2% solution of Boric Acid. It will help cure it if it has that mucusy white substance on the eye. You may have to repeat the drops and opening the eyes for a couple of days till the mucus-like substance goes away and the eye stays open on its own.

It's fine to handle the babies as soon as they are born; that way you can make sure they are all healthy. They will start to grow fuzz very quickly, you'll see. They open their eyes around 12 days of age. They need to stay with their mother until they are 8 weeks old. Please make sure the male rabbit has been separated from the mom as they can breed again immediately. The male and female babies should also be separated by about 3 months old.

you may contact them from day one in the journey that they are domesticated. mom will always be shielding in spite of the undeniable fact that, so attitude with caution lol. that's about 31 day gestation era, so if she's 3 weeks assume them every time in the close to destiny. a sturdy idea to get prepared may to positioned the nest field in now and lay about a inch thick layer of bedding and enable her get to artwork nesting. in case you do not already have a nest field you may by ability of a cheap one at a puppy save or us a sufficiently small field that it will fit in the cage yet large adequate on your doe to grant delivery in, and the perimeters should be tall adequate so the little ones can't fall out. i'd say now to not feed the rabbit foodstuff until eventually their eyes open and their walking a touch on there own. then basically start up putting about a 1/2 a cup or a nil.33, relying on what number she has, in the nest field once you feed. until eventually then they are going to nurse and that is all they favor.

carrie the biologist says you can touch them today if you want but you have to put them back exactly where they were so the mother will take care of it and you shouldn't hold them for more than a minute!!! They'll start growing hair in a couple days and they'll open their eyes in about a week...Have fun
