If he runs as a Republican, and neither Condi Rice nor Newt Gingrich decide to run, I would vote for Colbert.

We may laugh at his supposed candidacy, and of course he could never win, but Colbert is whip smart. I'm a Conservative, but I find his humor to be very insightful, but fair, unlike the preening Jon Stewart.

Way back in the 1960's, a comedianne named Pat Paulson from the show "Laugh In" ran for President. I think he got a thousand votes, so if I thousand people were willing to waste their vote on him, I'll bet about 50,000 would waste theirs on Colbert.... but it wouldn't be a total waste. It would show both parties how their candidates fail to excite the populace enough.

i actually truly may. Our president on the prompt's a funny tale, a foul funny tale, yet a funny tale, so why no longer get a sturdy funny tale in there to stability issues out. i have self assurance he's universal with his stuff, that he might want to communicate with different countries as he already has from his practice, and the help he might want to get from united states may be alot more beneficial than the low 30's we've on the prompt.

This has to be false. I love Colbert, but I would hate him as president. Then he'd have to be serious, he'd have to make compromises and he'd become corrupt, or ineffective. I don't think any of us want that.

Its just probly a fan site that wants him to run so bad they made it up. He has said many times before he would have to real intention of running. And on his show he always jokes about him possibly running.

He's joking. Not enough money, name recognition, or political power to even consider thinking about possibly running..

It's fake. If it were true, it would still be fake. And why would he choose a running mate at this point any way?

It's not true. Even if he did say it, he was only joking.
