I see the problem here. Being a Canadian who was likely sired by first cousins you have taken this phrase literally.

No problem at all. Let me clue you in, as I have so many times before:

When someone says 'Lend me your ear' it means they want you to perform an Electric Slide while wearing nothing but Suntan Pantyhose and a Trucker Hat.

Well it depends. With a hacksaw, its quick and easy. But with a scalpel, its neater and when they're done with it, it will go back on nice and clean. Its a toss up really. I'd say, it depends on how much time I have.

I can't bear to do it myself.

That's why I let an earwig chew it off. It's just a matter of keeping the pesky critters from chewing on my brain.
