Selena was a very bright, talented, beautiful and just plain amazing during her short 23 years. Its a shame that someone who she called "friend" could take her life. Selena was a huge star in the Latin market, yet she never realized that anyone would want to hurt her. She thought of everyone as a friend and never considered the dangers. She went places alone all the time. She didn't run around with body guards like stars these days. If she wanted to go to Wal-Mart, then she went lol! Yes, Selena shopped at Wal-Mart! haha!
She was a really good person and its a shame thats she's gone. She once hit a rabbit with her car and immediately took it to the vet to save it. Thats just the kind of person she was. She never refused an autograph.
Selena was definately ahead of her time. She was doing things back in the 90s that todays stars are just starting to do. She had been preparing for her English album since 89/90. She had been designing clothes long before JLO or any of those other stars today. She had a perfume line and even did some acting work.
I really admire Selena for the person that she was. She had morals and a work ethic that was untouched. She carried herself like a true lady and was a real class act. When I look at some of the stars today that are around the age that Selena died, its amazing to me and makes me value Selena more. Look at Britney Spears, Lindsey Lohan and Paris Hilton. They have nothing on Selena.

Yes, it was very sad when it happened. I remember. She was such a promising young artist and it sucks that she was so trustful of someone that would in the end, end up murdering her. When I heard that it had happened, I was like, OMG, how terrible. But when I saw the movie, I cried my flipping head off because the movie let people see the personal side of her as a person. Very sad.

Yes. I loved her music and so did my mother. She was very nice too.
At one time, she had a store in Corpus Christi, The Selena store. I don't know if it is still there or not.
That movie was very emotional. I know how you feel because I felt the same way. God Bless.

that movie makes me shed a tear every time i watch it! i love that movie... j-lo did a good job portraying her and its amazing how much she actually looked like selena! i still cant believe she's gone though. she was an amazing singer and this generation just doesnt know what they missed because she could still have been making music today. "dreaming of you" is still one of my all time favorite songs.

I feel sorry for her only because she didn't get real famous until she passed away. I live in Central TX and her fam was trying to cash in big by opening hundreds of Selena memorabilia shops. It was sorry of them to do that.

I love that movie! I think that what happened to her was tragic. Such a great talent, gone so early in life.
