Oh, I love Where the Red Fern Grows! When I read it for the first time I cried like a baby! It is so sad, but the ending is perfect.

That was one of my favorite books growing up. I cried like a little girl at the end (oh, wait, I was a little girl!). But it is such a beautiful book, and the ending was so artfully crafted and poetic.

I read that years ago, and I really only remember crying a lot at the end. It was a really sad/sweet book.

I read it in 5th grade for a school assignent. I cried and cried over the ending.
