I have the 30GB iPod Video. I only use 6GB. I want to start playing around with Linux. Could I partition off 20GB to Linux? I don't mean to use the iPod for the Linux OS, just as a HD.

actually yes you can, but only for word/ notepad documents. i use it to store school documents

plus its really easy:
1. go to my computer
2. click on your ipod (it should be the name of the ipod you click on)
3. click on the notes folder/ or you can make one. (i use the video, i don't know about the mini, or the others

and that's how you store word/ notepad documents on to your ipod

note*** u dont need to open itunes to do it either
