We met at the skating rink, (but I wouldn't date him or even tell him my last name until a year later, because he was VERY full of himself and had a different girl on his arm every time I saw him.) I decided to give him a chance when I went back to the skating rink after being gone for a year (busy working & getting through my senior year of high school), and he literally fell on his a** when he saw me. I figured, if I can have that kind of reaction on him after not even being around for a year, he at least deserved a chance! He's been spoiling me ever since! Our first date was his brother's wedding (two months later), 2 months after that, we moved in together (my mom kicked me out since I was 18 and had graduated), the next month he proposed, 6 months later, we were married, and 8 months after that, our first daughter was born. We will celebrate our 25th anniversary next month.

Wow, we've not had a date nighttime in constantly. as quickly as we do this's often in straight forward terms a couple of minutes such as you 2 did, in straight forward terms some hours. have faith me, a minimum of that's something! it would be great to be long previous for an prolonged time yet once you may get some hours a pair of times a month which will help shop your marriage (and your sanity!) intact. the wonderful element is, as quickly as all of the infants are at school all day, in the adventure that your husband can take an afternoon without work each now and then, you are able to have the entire day mutually before all of them come domicile. Now that's very much of exciting!

OMG that was a long time ago but a man I was dating forgot to take me home from a dance and my late husband offered me a ride so I guess that was the first date. We were married for 19 years and if he were still alive we would still be making each other miserable *wink*

The day I met him! And, no, it wasn't a blind date.
Saw him in church in the morning, he was visiting our priest, who is his brother. My dad was the deacon at the church, so my mom invited the two men for lunch, for which she often had the priest over. Well, after lunch, the men were talking in the living room, mom and I were in the kitchen and my VERY conservative mother DARED me to ask him out. Well, I did - in front of his brother and my dad (and their smirks), and we went to a movie that evening (Poltergeist, I think). He left the city the next day. I was dating someone else at the time, but he was at university in Italy. Saw this guy a few times for coffee over the year; I had moved over four hours away for a teaching job. That next summer, when he had moved to my home city ! and my bf was home for the summer, he went to my bf and asked how serious he was REALLY. Well, my guy won. Went out two years, and got married - almost 18 years ago! The other guy became a priest! HA!

We went to TGI Friday's and had an awkward meal that had very stilted conversation. Then we rented a movie (some Jackie Chan flick - Drunken Master?) and watched it at my house. About half way through the movie he kissed me and I don't remember the film ending.
This April we will be married 7 years.
