im interested in the new samsung 5k mp3 player ... but it only has 4 gygabytes ... and i need to know how many SONGS it can hold?

4 gig is okay... For the Samsung k5, thats great. 4 gig holds about 1000 songs at around 4 minutes.. The Samsung k5 is an awsome player. Although the speakers suck the juice out of it, its worth it(using the speaks on a full battery had a life of about 6 hours.) The speaks are crystal clear and loud too. It bulky but not too heavy. Touch activated screen and pad make it very modern. YOu can surf all your pics while listening to music and get great reception on the FM tuner. Deffinately a great player.

a similar 4 minute music can wildly variety in filesize relying on the usual/bitrate that the mp3 has been encoded in. yet a 4 minute music of respectable high quality is *more beneficial or less* about 4 to 5 megabytes - meaning round 128 songs on a 512mb mp3 participant.

It's an approximation though because song lengths vary so greatly.
