Now that the left is imploding just as Iraq's largest city is seeing real progress (sorry left, check a news source other than a liberal one if you don't believe me), should she step down? The power has gone to her head.

She will not leave until her party holds a new vote on speaker or the Democrats lose control of the House. Sorry for the bad news. I don't understand how you Liberals out there support her. She doesn't have enough votes to push through Veto proof legislation and yet she still is one of the most partisan Speaker's of the House ever. The Speaker should lead by uniting people.

For the sake of our military and our country, I wish that your statement were true...I have not observed real progress as of yet, but perhaps I have missed something.

The fact of the matter is that congress has a constitutional obligaton to provide oversight for this war. This is something that the Republicans failed miserably at...I do not believe that simply asking questions, demanding accountability and not giving the President a blank check makes congress a bunch of armchair generals.

I get tired of these kinds of questions. No one just steps down because there has been some sort of "improvement" in his/her opponents. By the way, an "improvement" over the last few weeks has not been a significant improvement... compared to years of mistakes on top of mistakes... a real improvement would be IF the Iraqis can stand up on their own since we have been there for years now and have been training them. You are only living in the Today... I will listen to you once we have gone 6 months and see if the 3 weeks' improvement has furthered.

Oh, and stop making this so personal. Were you in high school with Pelosi? Did she hurt your feelings once? That sucks when your feelings get hurt but maybe you should try to get over it... you'll think clearer.

General Pelosi? Last time I checked the Commander-in-Chief was President "I am the Decider" Bush. Yeah, all that power that Pelosi wields. Sometimes I think you guys really believe the alternate universe stuff you keep posting.

I didn't know Nancy's title was General!

All this time, I thought it was Field Marshall Pelosi!

She's made some mistakes. My fear is that once she learns her job she'll be difficult to remove.

Your monniker gave me the best laugh I've had today.

Appending "General" to Pelosi, creating an account implying that someone with political views that differ from your own is gay... another neocon class act. By the way, when you make a claim, if you want to be taken AT ALL seriously, it's generally established protocol to provide evidence, rather than leaving it to other people to look for it on your behalf...

I don't she has enough power to be concerned with her at all.
In fact, I think she is Bush's whipping boy.
