i have an arguement with a friend on this, so we want to know who is right or wrong

No, a cell phone cannot cause an explosion at a gas station.

But if you get back in your car while the gas is pumping you may generate enough static to cause an explosion when you go to take the nozzle out the car.

umm cell phone batteries have such low voltage that it is impossible to make a spark with them and cause an explosion its as safe to use a cell phone as it is to hold a back of AA batteries next to your head

They did this experiment on Mythbusters tv show on discovery. They could not make a cell phone explode anything even when they tried their hardest. Log onto www.discoverychannel.com then click on mythbusters

There have been reports that it has happened..

But they also tried this on myth busters and proved it wrong..


Its like getting struck by lighting.. Its possible, but very improbable
