Every time a download a hairstyle, it downloads but when i play the game it is not on the hair list, Why? do i need to open the file first THEN play?

You have to install your custom content. Find the file you downloaded, and open it. If it is a sims2pack file, the sims 2 installer will open (it is a blue window) and install it for you. If it isn't, you'll have to move it to my document/ea games/the sims 2/downloads yourself. Make sure that you have custom content enabled within the games under options. You'll have to exit and restart the game for enabling content to take effect. Hope this helps.

u might need to transfer it to the sims 2 files. or it could be for the sims 2 body shop. look in ur sims 2 files and look for it. if it isnt there then copy and paste it in the sims 2 file.

make sure you have the mesh you need (if it is needed for the hairstyle) also check under the color binned hairs sometimes they get put their instead of under the custom content symbol, and lastly make sure you have custom content enabled under the Game options once you have clicked it to enable it you have to restart the game and your stuff will and should be their.
