I am going on a watersports trip with the school next year, but the only 'friends' i know of that are going are one nice friend, but another 'sort-of' friend who i think if had to share a room with i would go insane, she always one-ups you and can just wind you up. The rooms will be in threes and if its just me, my friend and her then what should i do?

Well I guess you need to learn and practice before the trip on how to "stop caring if someone is annoying". Just ignore her if she happens in the same room. Pretend she is not annoying you, be polite and answer to her with a word or two. Hang most of the time with the other friend. It is not a big deal to be with someone you do not tolerate for some days, you can cope with it and you never know..maybe in the trip you fall into unpredicted situation and you change your opinion for that person. So do not hurry up with ya conclusions, just behave polite and do not let her know much about you, do not let her into ya personal space, keep distance and do not allow someone to spoil your mood. If she is irritating you act like you do not notice, after some time she will get tired to tease you. The other way is just tell her if she is really annoying "Well we will be together for that trip so let us not spoil each other's mood and have a good time here" so I hope she understands. Have a nice trip!

Just be tollerable if possible, its only for a few days and it'll go by really quick. If need be have a chat with her before the trip and let her know it upsets you when she one-ups everything you do. Let her know you aren't compeating with her and she doesn't need to act that way. Its always good to let people know whats on your mind before it gets blown out of proportion.
