Ok... the problem is, I'm having a school dance the night before my aunt's wedding. My grandma is taking all the lady family members out to get their nails done early in the day before my dance, FOR the wedding. The dress that I'm wearing to the wedding is a light orange-ish, coral-ish, salmon color (the colors of the wedding) The dress for my dance is silver and black. I can't find a color that will match both of the dresses... please help.

Short nails and dark polishes is VERY in right now. However, your Aunt might might not appreciate dark nails on the happiest day of her life.

Your safest bet is to just get a light pink sheer polish. It's classy enough for a wedding, but also very pretty and simple and goes with anything, even silver and black.

Or see if your grandma will spring for a french manicure. They're a little more expensive that your basic color, but they're perfect for all occasions.

A very sheer essie color that matches the coral well should be fine with black and silver. Providing you are ok with light and sheer (sugar daddy, etc.)

I think something that compliments the silver would work across both too. I can't think of a nice silver based polish off the top of my head but maybe check out opi.com and essie.com to see what colors there are before you head over to the shop. I used a strangley successful silver (not metallic but silver) from Revlon 4-5 years ago at a wedding that was beautiful. They don't make it anymore:-(

the majority has voted on the french manicure. i totally agree that is the right color to match both of your dresses. It would look elegant color for the wedding and clean and natural look for the dance.

I think you should go get a french manicure or an acrylic overlay over your real nail and just keep it simple. No NAIL POLISH. This way you will match both dresses on each event.

I somewhat have been doing my nails constantly and that i will certainly permit you realize that in case you're paying extra money for a bottle of nail polish than you're for a meal out, then you certainly are stupid. the cheap stuff works purely as properly because of the fact the intense end manufacturers and have faith it or no longer, they chip at relating to an identical fee. Set your web pages on something extra reasonably-priced.

Why wouldn't coral go with the black and silver. I personally think that this would quite nice for a splash of color against the black and silver.
