Most RPG's with a good storyline can make you sad at sometimes. Well not "crying" sad, but in the game, other people can get sad ect.
EX: (this is if its a RPG, im not exactly sure) Take Kindom Hearts, 1 and 2 for example. Wouldn't you get upset that your best friend is trying to kill or destroy the person you love for thier own power in evil? Eh.... I'm a guy and i shouldn't really be talking about this so Ill just leave it from here.

I thought that Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords had a very... emotional feeling towards the end, in terms of realization and true understanding, the complexities of every character, the self-doubt of the main character, and the realization that everyone that followed you did so out of free will, rather than drawn in by the force- the realization that others would die for you, not as a result of the force, but because of their respect, admiration and love for the character.
Another RPG I thought was touching at several point in the game was Chrono Trigger- you feel a kinship to the majority of the characters for their personalities and bonds.
I loved Final Fantasy 6, but mostly because of Aria di Mezzo Carattere, the opera scene, since I thought it had great music- although it had better lyrics in the GBA version, in my opinion.
...
And secretly... I thought the ending of Pokemon Rescue Team: Blue was a bit touching, as well. At least THAT game had more depth than the others... Not a secret anymore I guess. Oh well. I DEFEND MY DECISION!

Kingdom Hearts is very moving.... and the sequel is even more so...
it's pretty much about a boy in search of the friends that were taken from him...
in the second game when he finally finds his best friend Riku, it's very emotional. In the second game the main character also has kind of a split personality who is trying to understand his existence and eventually finds out he really never was supposed to exist at all... if that can't move you......

Final Fantasy 9 is the only game that actually made me tear up at the end. FF:7 shocked me but I wouldn't consider that "mooving." Shadow of the Collosus affected me too, it's just a beautiful work of art. And Suikoden 2 but good luck finding that for under $100.00.

Final Fantasy VII, VIII, IX, X, X-2, XII, KH, KH-2, are all games that can move people. Out of these, FF-X is the most moving. Very sad ending. Also Legend of Dragoon has a wonderfully moving storyline. Tales of Symphonia, Phantasia, and the Abyss are well written. Also try Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.

Final Fantasy 7! It's gotta be my fav game of all time and i will never forget it..... The part where Aries died made my sister cry (she was 16 at the time!) and kinda annoyed me to the point of tears brimming...

Legend of Dragoon, I hated the ending, because it shouldn't end. And yes I did cry because I was so into the game. My friend FREAK (as in she started to hyperventilate) when Lloyd die.
Chaos Legion when Victor realized what he did and walks over to the egde....-_-.
Xenosaga III, when Jin dies. Because he supported Shion though also most everything. Also Abledo...sigh, sorry wounds still hurt to talk about it.

"Longest Journey 2: Dreamfall" was really moving emotionally and had many bittersweet moments. I very badly want to see the 3rd game come out but it will be awhile yet. It was something like 8 years between the 1rst and 2nd games.
FF7 of course, but everyone who plays alot of games has already played it. FFX.
