Hi,Do you have aluminum wheels,if so what happens is you get a reaction between dissimilar metals{alum. wheel, steel brake drum}With truck on level ground, loosen lug nuts 1 or 2 turns only, move truck forward and reverse a few inches, this should allow it to break loose,if not, tapping on inner rim edge w/small sledge, should work.To prevent in future, spray drum to rim contact area with anti-sieze or white lithium grease before mounting wheel.

If it is on the rear, take a 2x4 or landscape timber & lever it between the spring & the rim. hold pressure on the board while you or someone else hits the center of the axle with a 4 lb shop hammer. Make sure the vehicle is secure on jack stands before attempting this.

If you are saying you have the wheel off the truck and on the ground and now you want to separate the rubber from the steel wheel, like fixing a bicycle tire....FORGET IT.

That is a difficult job and needs machinery to do it, take it to a tire shop.

Im assuming that all the lug nuts are off, if you get a hand sledge and just try to bang in like 4 corners of the tire, also see if there is any retainers clip like things that might be on there, which would be behind the lug nut. You might have to get a pair of dikes to pull them off. Otherwise, just keep trying to beat it lose.

Does your motorcar have aluminum wheels? At my save any time we've an aluminum wheel off the motorcar we recommend the customer verbally to carry the motorcar back after using between 50 and one hundred miles to have us examine the lugnuts back for tightness. Then we've them signal a record indicating they have been counseled of this. metal lugnuts have a bent to loosen at the same time as used with alloy wheels. It would not ensue each of the time, yet one time is too many. It has befell to me two times in my 20 years of using. in spite of if the wheels are aluminum, 15-20 miles is amazingly quickly to have a difficulty with free lug nuts. in spite of if there replaced into supposedly corrosion on the wheel any respected save may have wiped clean the mounting floor on the tire and the wheel with a ROLOC disc or twine brush earlier mounting the wheel - so the tale they gave you is a steaming pile of crap. in spite of if it were corroded and they did no longer have the decency or intuition for self-protection to scrub the mounting surfaces this nevertheless wouldn't have brought a pair of suited torque'd wheel to come back free after in undemanding words 15-20 miles. And if it replaced into that undesirable why did not they're retaining some thing at the same time as the motorcar replaced into in for service? truly the save is screwed right here. both they did not follow the right wheel torquing technique which brought a pair of severe protection issue or they admit there replaced right into a doubtlessly risky issue including your motorcar that they knew about yet did not allow you to know of! on the minus area, all 5 lug nuts did not basically zip off promptly. It took some miles for this to ensue and that wheel may were making an increasing volume of very grotesque noises until eventually the finest studs ultimately snapped and the wheel got here off. no longer pulling over to invesitage is organic negligence on your section. This does no longer some thing to reduce the blame on the portion of the save yet your husband may have stopped this earlier the damage were given as undesirable because it did. the save a minimum of ought to replace the damaged studs, lug nuts and that i'm particular the wheel is now trashed besides. they ought to also guard the different brake/suspension damage that could were incurred. If this were to bypass to courtroom they do no longer have a leg to face on.
