Google has more money and better lawyers than Viacom. Viacom doesnt get it, we watch the videos and its free advertising to turn people on to their programming, all they did was shoot themselves in the foot.

I don't know why these companies get all upity about these things. Okay, music songs, I understand why they want legal action, but as far as tv shows, especially old ones. People could never catch these things on tv, once you miss it, and if you didn't tivo, you are out of luck. So thankfully we have people who videotaped old stuff and tivod new stuff and post it up so we can enjoy it too.

I guess I am trying to say it would be different if they were offering that stuff to common people, but they don't, so there are no advertising dollars from tv commercials they are missing.

I think why they try for legal action is because if there are ads on youtube.com that they are getting paid for, that is what the company is mad about, missing on that little slice of cheddar - as if they don't have enough cheese already.
