Hey ive just heard about camps where they send gay people to try to "save" them. You cant save someone from something thats not bad. People are so stupid sometimes. Plus, isnt that impossible to turn someone straight anyways?

You know, I've thought about this a lot, and it gets sillier and sillier the more I think about it. How much of their lives are these people wasting on trying to convert others? And how much are the people that are converted wasting on trying to live a life that isn't theirs? It's all so tragically pointless it makes me question the sanity of a large group of people, despite my better instincts.

You can't be "saved" unless first you are "lost". At the heart of Christianity is the doctrine of orginal sin - you are considered "lost" the moment you are born, not because of what you may do, but because of what your ancestors allegedly did.

If you are free from guilt and self-hatred then the fundies have no handle with which to grab you and control you. So to "save" you they first have to convince you that you are "lost" and "astray" and "without hope unless you accept the Lawd Jeeeezus into yore heart etc.."

Who is to say being gay is not bad? What is so right with it? It is immoral and I strongly believe there is something mentally wrong with someone who actually thinks they are gay. Just like pedophiles, there is something not right with some part of their brain. I dont think it is impossible to fix the issue. But I think more research must be done.

yea i mean u cant save someone if they are willing (except if they are trying to kill themselves, someone is trying to kill them,or stoping themselves from other harm )but i dont think that it's impossible to turn homosexuals to heterosexuals.not to say that homoxeuality bisexuality or the trangendered is bad but the bible kind of shuns those forms groups as to they are sin but no i dont think u can save some one from being homo/bisexual or trasgendered bcuz thats how they feel about them selves

It is ridiculous, There is a group of people that say they got saved and became str8, what is funny is that the president ended up in a relationship with another guy of the group and were kicked out. it's pathetic

Indeed, people just fear what they dont know...and many others pay the price...
The USA is not as advanced mentaly unfortunately, and actually it competes with Afghanistan in social sciences. But wait, in Afghanistan you are treated for free in a hospital...

i support the camps, Kids need to have positive input to help them move away from bad decisions. and yes, a persons sexual preference is maleable and can change, anyone who says different is lying.

I knew a guy that I went to high school with that was extremely gay, and even feminine, I saw him a few years after high school and he was married to a woman and totally straight. I didn't ask him anything about it, so I don't know what changed his mind, but he did tell me that she knows everything about his past.
