Okay, he isn’t my schoolteacher. He’s my private bass guitar teacher. During my last lesson he put his hand on my knee three times, but only for like a second each time. And he also called me “darling”. All of this made me uncomfortable, but I’m not sure if I’m just overreacting. What do you think his intent is, and how should I react if he does it again? I'm a teen and he's like my dad’s age. Should I continue going to his house (where the two of us are always alone) without taking someone else with me?

tell your parents and have them tell him. you can do it without being confrontational if you need to, but the chances that it is something not so innocent are too good, so tell your parents.

I think what is happening, you should tell your parents about what he is doing. Be calm about it and give them details. Also, let your parents know that you are feeling uncomfortable with what he does. Hopefully, that will get their attention.

No matter who it is, no one should lay a hand on you or call you "darling". What he is doing is wrong and you should never be left alone with him.

Your parents may want to contact him and tell them that you will not be going to his private classes again. They will need to find another teacher for you.

So, please tell your parents as soon as you can. Otherwise, he can be in deep trouble, and hopefully there isn't others who complained about him with his wrongful actions he is portraying as a private guitar teacher. If he is doing this to other students or minors, he can be behind bars and lose his license to teach, that's if he has done serious things to them.

I would defininitely start taking someone with me. He might not coming onto you, however, if you feel uncomfortable with the situation you should take action to protect yourself.

It is totally inappropriate behaviour on his part and you are not overreacting. Tell your parents.
