I like Kerrigan, but I agree with everyone else Kerrigan Lane sounds like a street. Maybe you could do Kerrigan Elaine or Kerrigan Leni ?(pronounced Lane-ee...my neice is named Leni) I also think Kerri is a great nickname! However if you like Kerrigan Lane together then go with it...I'm sure whatever you choose will be great.
Congratulations!

Kerrigan is pretty, but drop the Lane. Like everyone else says, it sounds like a road name. Not a fan of Kerri for short, but I like Kerrigan.

Have you seen the movie Casper? The mean lady in the move is named Kerrigan but starts with a C I think. The name itself is pretty, but when I hear it, it reminds me of the mean lady in the movie. It also remind me of a Carnagan like a sweater you wear.

Just so you know. When I thought of my kids names I thought of every type of tease they could get from another child at school (trying to make sure they were covered ya know) I named my children **Nicole and Samantha** They have choices in their name too just like Kerrigan, Kerri, Nicole, Nicki or Samantha Sammy or Sam.

The other think I considered in naming my children was I able to buy things with their name on it and would it be spelled the right way. For example my name is Tania (not a usuall spelling) most of the time its spelled Tonia or Tonya or Tanya so If I wanted to buy a pencil with my name on it, I can't find one. Just some ideas.

Is there a special reason? Is it a street name? I think Kerrigan sounds more like a boy name. I really don't like the name at all.

It does sound like a street but it also reminds me of the figure skater Nancy Kerrigan who got hit in the knees with a lead pipe before the Olympics.

Kerrigan isnt my favorite but i mean it could still be used as a first name. I wouldnt use "lane" because it makes it sound too much like the name of a street.

I love the name Kerrigan. That's what I want to name my little girl. Try spelling the middle name something like Laine or Laynne so that your daughter's name is not confused with a suburban street.

I don't like it because both names are masculine. Also, the first thing that comes to mind is Nancy Kerrigan who was beaten. If you want to call her Kerri, use that as her legal given name.
