so last year we were running out of time on getting a place to stay durring the school year. well the place we moved into, unknown to us at the time, had a major roach problem. i mean realy bad. we bug bombed the house and put out roach motels more times then i can think. and we still have a some.( no where near as bad as when we first moved in) but now we are going to move to a new place. i want to know if the roaches will follow us there via in our furnichure, etc? and if they do how can we prevent them from tagging along?

A friend of mine rented a small storage space a week before he moved. He put EVERYTHING he owned in it and bug bombed two days in a row. 4 days later, not one live bug.

I've never known roaches to travel in furniture but if the roaches you had laid eggs in the drawers or something its possible. Check mattresses and drawers and anyplace that they could lay eggs (shoes too). Get a professional exterminator to come out if you see even one roach. Hope your new place is bug free.

You seriously need to contact your landlord about the roach problem. He is entitled to pay for an exterminator to come in and take care of the problem or pay for the roach motels and any spray that you use. Call you landlord and tell him about it. If he does nothing or ignores the problem, call the local housing authority and report him.

good god, i think i would have spoken to the landlord on that one and not just lived with the problem! yes, they will move with you if you are not careful. roaches will lay eggs anywhere. check the underside of all your furniture and couch and chair cushions for eggs. you may want to bomb the new place asap and then again when you move your stuff in. if you notice a problem at the new home contact your landlord asap, or get a professional to come in and get rid of them

Roaches can follow and most likely will. Bomb your furniture and the new house before moving in

well i know this has to suck, my sister moved to Savannah Georgia last year and after only six months moved back up to Wisconsin.... into my basement ...with roaches in everything !!! i mean they were even in the speakers of her stereo. there is no way of preventing them ,bringing them with . yes they are nasty little critters but eventually we killed them off slowly . just keep spaying and putting out those little square things and eventually they will die off or move on. And a word of caution don't leave food or garbage in the new house too long because they will eat and multiply again... good luck i feel your pain!!!!!

Ditch the furniture if you can afford to do so!
