3.) Hartley Peavey started Peavey Electronics in his dad's basement in 1965. Peavey has grown to encompass 1.5 million sq. ft. and makes guitars, basses, keyboards, amps, and just about anything else that has to do with music.

11.)One of the world's most prestigious dance events, the USA International Ballet Competition is a two week competition held every four years since 1979, in Mississippi.
12.) NASA's Center of Excellence for Rocket Propulsion Testing is located at Stenis Space Center in South Mississippi.
13.) The worlds largest auto plant was built by Nisson in 2004, in Mississippi at $1.4 billion, covering 3.5 million sq. ft.
14.) Yes, we are at the bottom in some areas, but we hold FIRST PLACE in GENEROSITY. For eight years in a row, our generosity has won over every other state in the nation. Per capita, we give more in relation to income than any other state.
We are also generous in spirit, so I am not going to give you the blasting you so richly deserve.
