Besides saving the life of the mother, in which case the child would die also, please give me 7 good reasons to support abortion. Thank you.

Jorge did you miss something, I said other than saving the life of the mother. Interestingly enough Jorge if the mother dies before giving birth the child is almost certain to die also. keep up now.

Carrie wow TL:DR. Next time instead of cutting pasting simply post a link instead of attempting to sabotge the question with an insanely log NON-answer.

Disturbed I asked for GOOD reasons. your reason suck, but at least they are honest. your answers are exactly the same as most of the others' who support abortion only they have attempted to dress their answers up in seemingly 'educated' words.
Lets just take a look shall we? You said

1) helps control poplulation
2) saves you money on baby stuff
3) don't have to go through the pain of child birth
4) dont have to wake up in the middle of the night with a screaming baby

in place of reason ONE others said: reduces number of unwanted children in foster care (incl. costs to gov't to raise them). OR It reduces the need for social services to have to intervene and remove the unwanted child.

In place of answer TWO others said: reduces medical cost that would need to be paid by the gov't for abandoned children (that could be very unhealthy due to situations like above) AND preventing the need to go on welfare for a lifetime--financial reasons for the family OR cost.

In place of reason THREE other said: So that the parents can procreate responsibly when they're ready. OR Don't want kids OR So that the mother becomes mentally stable and capable.

In place of reason 4 others said: too young to have a child It helps a troubled and probably underage mother carry on with a normal life without unnecessary burden.
It helps a troubled and probably surprised young man carry-on with life without ruination. Most of these other answers are nothing more than your answers dressed up in little more than doublespeak and pompous words. Yes they ae the same lame answers indeed.

some of you made the point of there is something wrong with the fetus. this is nothing more than a case for euthanasia(by defenition). Surely you can't be saying that these hadicapped people are incapable of enjoying full lives and are better off dead!?

ok did you post this question to beat up on people or are you really looking for an answer?
Well here are a couple:

1) If a woman is raped
2) If the child severely deformed and will not have a good quality of life.

These are the only reasons why I would imagine that any woman would abort a pregnancy. I am no one to judge the decisions of another person. One thing that we must keep in mind is that everyone has their individual rights. Yes even children but most of their rights are exercised by their parents until they are 18 years of age. I'm guessing that this also pertains to unborn children as well. I don't know very much about Law and each State has its own laws. Like I mentioned before, the decisions is ultimately up to the mother and let's not forget the father (if present). He has the right to oppose the abortion. Sorry that I couldn't give you all seven reasons, but I wanted to give my opinion anyway.

As a man who's girlfriend had an abortion. I feel that at the time I was weak. I said that I would support her decision whatever she wished to do. She already had a young son of 2, to another man and we were both still very young. So I kind of knew that she would go through with it. With the benefit of hindsight I would say there are little or no good excuses for abortion. But I'm not a woman who has been raped and is pregnant. You could say that the child has done nothing wrong and it is the womans son, but how do you reason as a victim who has a unwanted pregnancy by a vile and inhuman act. Each example given will have some merit but does it warrant the termination of a childs life. There are generally one, sometimes two people who need to make that decision. In an ideal world it would never happen but it does. The question we should be asking is can you find 7 ways to prevent unwanted pregnancies occurring.

You can't just rule out saving the life of the mother, that's a big reason why a women would get an abortion
1-population control
2-in cases of rape
3-the baby is not developing right.
4-if the mothers life is threatened
5-women's rights, it is her body and she can choose to terminate the baby if she wants
6-cases of incest
7-to avoid a life of emotional, physical, and financial misfortune if one is not adequately prepared to care for the life of another human being.
8-so she can learn from her actions and do everything in her power to prevent it from happening again

i am against abortion unless it is absolutely necessary for one of these reasons:
1) the child would be abused/neglected
2) the woman was raped and so the child wouldn't have a father in his/her life
3) the parents aren't healthy, stable people (ie if they're drug addicts) and so would not be able to provide a good home for the child
sorry, but i can't think of 7.
and i do not think the government should tell a woman what to do with her body.

I can't really find any seven reasons to support something I don't feel capable of doing. I believe the answer lies only in the belly of the pregnant woman taking into consideration "abortion". I can repeat a thousand times "I will never", but I've never been in that position to prove it.

1. So that the offspring does not live in poverty.
2. Because the offspring has a unoperable disease that suck the finances from the whole of the family.
3. So that the parents can procreate responsibly when they're ready.
4. So that the mother may live.
5. So that the mother becomes mentally stable and capable.

Those are reasons why people support abortion.

Abortion is a personal choice that other people may not understand, there are no set seven reasons for someone choosing to do this.

The person making the choices will have a lot of reasons for and against having an abortion.
