according to the average 'cleverness' of mankind one might think that alien technology lead to that form of technology we use today.
fact is .. no, it was all invented by ourselves.
modern technology ..especially the internet ..obviously leads people to believe aliens invented it, cause whom would you believe if you hear a million people talk about conspiracies and such stuff ? those people yelling, or trusted archives ?
Guess whoms information is easier to access, and you have the answer.
in these times its very easy to forget, that any discovery, or invention has a history and did not come from out of nothing.

people tend to believe the 'alien version'. cause its so much easier...related to remembering 1000 histories for 1000 inventions.
in my opinion this form of mass-de-information, along with the trend of letting people pay for information (news archives etc.) will lead to the greatest thread regarding the internet.
best example: the moon-hoax
history was written, we were there
but the number of people not believing that is constantly growing.
actually a statement does not get any 'truer' if it is repeated a million times. but we tend to think like that, cause its in our nature to do so.
The first time in our life information is transmitted faster then people can process it.
now i just can't wait for someoe claiming that this was intentionally done by those aliens.... WAAAH get me out of here.
