My husband and I are TTC and would like to know if it is better to have a lot of sex before and during ovulation or just to have it while you are ovulationg and maybe a day after? I am on day 10 of my cycle so when should I start?

I would just have sex every other day this way there is no way to miss your ovualtion day, This a method that will ensure a high chance of pregnancy, I would not relay on any other method but yourself!!!!

That's a tricky question and we aren't all the same. For years I have thought I was ovulating at the 'right' time - 14 days before my period is due. But I have been on IVF since Sept 06 and just recently had to have blood tests daily waiting for ovulation so I can have my frozen embryo implanted. Well the doctor told me last Friday that I wasn't going to ovulate this month but I insisted on a test on Monday and what do you know, now I'm ovulating. (I love proving the dr's wrong)
So for you, I would suggest investing in some ovulation test kits so you know exactly when you are ovulating and just have lots of sex. Enjoy and good luck!

How long is your cycle? You generally will ovulate 14 days before your period. So it depends on how long your cycle is. Get a Basal Body Thermometer and start charting your cycles. You'll see a temp drop and then a jump at the time of ovulation.

I was told by my doctor not to count on the days so much as to just try every other day since then you aren't trying to break any records and you are more relaxed. I know stress can be a big factor and if you are both so wound up about it then it won't happen either.

Just have sex every other day. That way you will have better chances. Some people dont know exactly when they are ovulating. Good luck!

My wife had a webmd calendar and knew the exact days to have sex and well it worked, due in October. The 1st time it was a complete (good) accident, but this time planned.

if i was you i would try several days before, during, and 2 days after. Just because the sperm can live up to 48 hours in ewcm.

I think alot of sex would be your best bet. because you may think you know exactly when you will ovulate but just to be sure not to miss it id say pretty often you should have sex.
